Does AI recommend your business?

More customers now ask ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity “who's the best ___ in my city?” instead of scrolling Google. Enter your business and we ask an AI assistant that exact question, with and without web search, then show whether you appear, who it picks instead, and what to fix.

Free. About a minute. Results are live AI answers, so they vary a little run to run.

[ How it works ]

01

We ask the customer's question

“What are the best [what you do] in [your city]?”, once with live web search (how AI search answers) and once from the model's memory.

02

We check where you land

Recommended, mentioned or missing, and at what rank, in both answers. That becomes a 0–100 score: search counts for 60, memory for 40.

03

You get the fixes in order

Why the AI picks your competitors and 5–7 specific fixes ranked by impact: listings, reviews, the pages and articles AI answers cite.

Questions people ask

Which AI does the checker use?

It asks a large language model the question twice: once with live web search, the way ChatGPT search and Perplexity answer, and once from the model's own memory. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews lean on the same kinds of sources, so the gaps it finds usually show up there too.

Why does my score change between runs?

AI answers aren't fixed: each run is a fresh answer and web results move. Treat the score as a snapshot and re-check monthly; a business that's consistently recommended will score high every time.

How do I get recommended by ChatGPT and other AI assistants?

Make the facts easy to find and agree everywhere: the same name, category and city on your website, Google Business Profile and directories, steady recent reviews, a page that says plainly what you do and where, FAQ content, and mentions in the local 'best of' articles AI answers cite.

Is it free? What happens to my email?

The check and the report are free. Your email gets you the full report and the occasional Lab Note from Rodrigo Teixeira at apxlbs. Unsubscribe in one click.
